Cidney is a small app that I’ve been tinkering with over the past couple of months. It aspires to be a flexible Caller ID system that allows you to associate ringtones with particular callers, filter incoming calls using a rule-based system, and use AppleScript to take action based on specific callers. I’ve gone ahead and packaged the application and posted it online at

Note that this is still a beta release, so let me know if you encounter any bugs or other problems. I’ve been using it for a while and really think that it’s quite nifty.
