Audacious Software’s first release, Shion 1.0b4, is now available for download.

This version of Shion is Leopard-only and is the result of a massive rewrite of the Shion application. I’ve overhauled both the internals and user interface to provide a more useful and aesthetically-pleasing user experience. In addition to the updated features (such as Apple Remote support), this version includes the following new features:

Snapshots – Take “snapshots” of your environment for later use.

AppleScript – Control Shion from other applications, such as iCal.

AJAX iPhone Interface – Control your devices while on the go.

The new Shion website includes information about these features, along with screenshots for the curious. The documentation is not complete at the moment, but I hope to finish it over the next few days.
