As the last days of 2007 slip away, I wanted to take this chance to introduce my newest “venture”, Audacious Software.As the front page states, Audacious Software is an independent software development group founded in Chicago, Illinois. I decided to create this entity about a month ago in order to bring a variety of software projects under a single roof so that I can take them through the next steps of their evolution.

Audacious Books is the flagship product, being a very successful cataloging application for Mac OS X.

Shion is a new take on home automation applications. In future blog posts, I will write about these products in more detail.

My goal in putting all of this together is to realize some of the “magic” that Clarke mentions in the quote above. My goal for each project under the “Audacious” umbrella is to create something interesting and new that delights us, solves a problem, and becomes something useful that we won’t want to live without. I’ve achieved this in my own tinkering and crafting, and I’d like to share the results of my labor with the rest of you.
