Shion: Using the Apple Remote

This document contains information about using the Apple Remote with Shion.

Shion + Apple Remote

Shion implements basic support for controlling your devices using the Apple Remote. When Shion is the frontmost application, clicking the MENU button on the remote will display a large HUD with your devices:

• MENU: Dismisses the display.

• + / -: Select the next/previous device.

• NEXT: Brighten the selected device.

• PREVIOUS: Dim the selected device.

• PLAY: Toggle the selected device on or off.

This support is available without the support of any additional software. In the future, Shion will be extended to support third-party remotes and software such as RemoteBuddy and the Nintendo "Wii-Mote". To be notified of these updates, please subscribe to the Audacious Software weblog.
